Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions - Liquid Makeup

An Absolutely Brilliant Product

03 Fresh Neutral - Clinique £23

I find it very hard to find a foundation that meets my high expectations and I have to say that not many do. I tried this foundation because my 'Revlon Colourstay' was giving me breakouts more often than not, & as i was doing my own makeup for my wedding day i wanted to be blemish free and have a lovely matte look. I tried my luck without reading any reviews on this Clinique foundation, and just bought it with only the lady on the counters advice. I cannot say how happy & pleased I am with it! My skin is normally very combination; oily on my T-Zone, blotchy, very dry on my cheek area and my nose often gets flakey.

This foundation stays on my face for the whole day at work, about 8 hours on average, and keeps my skin oil free. It provides amazing coverage that is very buildable, without it looking cakey and dry. It feels so light on my skin and very breathable. The best part is that it doesn't cause me to break out at all, and also reduced the redness and breakouts i already had. I use this foundation everyday and i honestly could not as for a better daily foundation.

Pro's: This product has definitely reduced existing breakouts and claims to prevent future breakouts. It controls oil very well on my skin and has great coverage that is also buildable. It feels soft, smooth and doesn't feel heavy and creates such an amazing matte finish which lasts all day long and doesn't sink into fine lines and wrinkles.

Con's: There definitely isn't a very large colour range and the colours can have a pink tinge to them. I would also love for the packaging to be improved, a pump bottle would be much easier and would probably get more product out towards the end of the bottle.

Thanks for reading, please feel free to ask any questions :)
have a wonderful day :D

Holy Grail Mascara... Benefit - They're Real!

Best Mascara Everrrrr :)

(apologies for the extremely grubby fingerprints)

What can I even say about this mascara. Honestly the best mascara i have tried to date. Makes your lashes look so long and thick. A total false lash effect. I bought these last year in a promotional set from Debenhams after my wedding, but as i was using up my Clinique mascara they just sat there in the box, so really I've only been using them since January. I think it cost me about £18.95. But with a large size and a tester size it was absolutely worth it. Everyone comments on how lovely my lashes look when I wear it, my sister is very jealous and always uses it when she's raiding my make-up. I wear glasses and usually, most mascaras are very uncomfortable, even when I curl my lashes; but this is amazing and doesn't hurt my eyes or make it uncomfortable. Comes off very easily with a make up wipe, but seems to last all day. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone. Its high-end and a little expensive, but is definitely worth the investment.

Thanks for reading, I hope your having a wonderful Wednesday :)

Concealer Loving ;)

My Top Three Concealers

1, Clinique Airbrush Concealer (Fair) - £17.00
2, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift & Firm Concealer (Fair) - £19.00
3, Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer (Light) - £10.00

My overall favourite concealer is definitely the Clinique. (far left) At £17 a pop it is at the higher end of the market but it is absolutely worth the money. Glides on really nicely & covers the dark patches under my eyes brilliantly & ALL day. It only comes in three shades but if put underneath foundation it blends very well and has a medium to high coverage that is completely build-able. The only downside to this product is that the tube doesn't last a great deal of time. I ran out pretty quickly and at this price this makes me really sad when having to purchase another. If it wasn't so brilliant I would have thought twice about repurchasing.

The Elizabeth Arden (centre) is a fairly new addition to my little make up family. I purchased after the woman on the counter recommended it as a high coverage concealer, especially good for the under eye area. Reviews online also backed this up & I actually completely agree. Very smooth formula and dries very matte, excellent coverage and looks flawless. The downside... doesn't stay on all day, fades around 5-6 hours into the day & if re-applying you have to be very careful as it easily can look cakey if being placed on top of setting powder. Overall it is a very good concealer and I do not regret buying it.

Last but not least is the Soap & Glory (far right). Very disappointed it doesn't smell of anything pretty like everything else from this brand but it is a very very good product. Comes with an under eye concealer and an all over face concealer. In the top is a little setting powder and sponge (which I can't say I've used). I LOVE this under eye concealer. It masks even the darkest eye bags and makes your eyes look so fresh. Brilliant. Downside, the all over concealer is very very drying. I don't have the driest skin or visable pores, but this makes my whole face look very dry, even after lots of moisturiser and with foundation on the top. Its a brilliant coverage concealer overall, but I wish it was less drying :(.

Wall Art Stickers. Im Addicted!

I could spend hours and hours browsing through these on the net. In fact I spend a whole morning last Sunday doing just that. I first spotted them on next.co.uk whilst having a little browse of their home section but they're quite expensive and I didn't want to spend a fortune & having to put it up myself and make a huge disaster of it all. So I had a quick Google search & found that eBay is absolutely full of sellers selling absolutely everything from Justin Bieber quotes to children's cartoon characters in the wall sticker category for half the price!

I originally just wanted one for above my bed, a pretty quote or song lyric maybe?
I found this one (below) & I've always absolutely loved this quote :D

Life isn't about waiting
for the storm to pass
it's about learning to
Dance in the Rain

I love the fonts and spacing and I think it looks brilliant. When it arrived in the post it came packaged in a tube with a little black flattened bit of plastic for pressing it on the wall  with & a little leaflet with instruction on how to apply it. It looked very easy... It wasn't. I have a 'silk' finished paint on my bedroom walls so maybe that had something to do with the vinyl not wanting to stick without having to press on very hard and peeling it away very very slowly. It did take a while but I think it looks really good and looks how I wanted it to. I am very pleased :D
Purchased for £3.49 (bargain) + postage

After I got it on my wall and stood back and looked at it I realised I had caught the bug and wanted moreeeee!

I began trawling eBay again for some inspiration and found a really funny

'Splish, Splash
I'm taking a Bath'

My husband agreed & advised I bought it in red as our bathroom has red accessories. I am glad I did, it looks lovely. The script is so pretty and this one was so much easier to apply that the one in the bedroom. Maybe this is because the paint is in a 'Matt' finish and the vinyl stuck a lot easier and didn't require as much effort as the other one. It may have been because I chose a different company and the vinyl was a different type or a better quality, but yet again I am very very pleased with it & it definitely brightens up our bathroom and is a lovely feature people are already complimenting.
This one is in Medium for £5.99 + postage

I've already ordered a pretty design saying 'The Kitchen Is The Heart Of The Home' for my kitchen :)
absolutely addicted ;) it may not be to every ones taste, but personally I love them and think they're a brilliant way to personalise your home when your on a budget.

Primark Haulin' (Just A Little One)

Today I had a quick little dash into Primark just to have a nosey to see if there was any new stock & came across a wonderful little sale rack :) There was loads and loads of bargains to be had, loads of every single size & they actually had my size in every item, which as you all probably know is quite rare for Primark.

They were selling off all the knitwear to make room for the new spring lines but as you can see, the weather is still freezing cold in the UK & I don't think anyone would be daring enough to venture out without a huge coat or a cuddly cardigan so I was definitely taking advantage of the knitwear sale here.

First I picked up like a knitted peplum white knitted type material top. Absolute bargain at £5! it fits wonderfully & is lovely and warm, could be dressed down with a nice pair of jeans and flats, or dressed up with a chunky necklace, discopants & a blazer maybe? really nice :)
As I was waiting to be served there was a whole rack of skinny waist belts in brown and black for only 50p so grabbed myself two of each! they will go with absolutely everything! And go lovely around the middle of this top :)

Next to the peplum tops were some lovely blush coloured chunky knitted cardigans, lovely and thick & warm. there aren't are buttons to button this up but I'm thinking with a chunky scarf and a long top with some leggings or skinny jeans it would be perfect until this horrible weather finally warms up a little. It comes down just past my bottom and the material isn't like itchy wool or anything, its soft and comfortable for those with sensitive skin like mine :) another bargain at only £5!

I finally tore myself away from the knitwear because really? how long can it really snow for? ha ha. found some lovely blazers, I picked up a dark turquoise/green one last week for £15 and they had them all on sale for £11 today so grabbed one in this lovely grey colour. I absolutely adore blazers. I think they're so smart and can instantly dress up an outfit and make it look more sophisticated. I own about 4 or 5 in all different colours so this grey fits in lovely with the others. It is quite light and will come in very handy for my trip to New York in the summer where I won't want to be dragging around heavy jackets during the day or evening. love. love. love it :)

Sorry that this is a very iccle' Primark loot, just thought I would share my bargain finding & maybe you shall check out the Primark's in your area for similar bargains

Thank You for reading :)

Ps. I don't know about anyone else but I have a real issue with Primark sizing, as does my little sister.

A. We are both quite tall, and find they don't do all their jeans/trousers in a long length which is a big let down :(

B. We always seem to be a size bigger in Primark than anywhere else we shop. I always buy a size 14 & my sister a 6 but in there I always have to buy 16's or 18's in jackets/blazers & my sister often has to buy size 10's!

Why Primark? sort it out :(

any body else noticed this?

My New Little Fiorelli Love :) 'Hope'

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BAG :D

My husband surprised me with this beauty last week for my birthday and I really love it. I would recommend it to anyone and I would have honestly bought it myself if I hadn't have been given it as a gift. its gorgeous.

This 'Hope' bag the perfect size and has a brilliant over the shoulder strap which I personally prefer as I drop and leave behind absolutely everything so it feels really secure and comfortable over my shoulder. You can tell it is really well made and all the stitching is absolutely perfect, as is the lining inside the bag and the cute little pockets. One small side pocket that would fit your purse and phone and a larger back zip pocket. I have tried to fit my iPad inside and it does fit in the bag and zips up but doesn't leave a lot of room for anything else other than a purse but its not often I do carry my iPad around with me.

I think my husband paid about £30 for the bag plus whatever else it is for the postage as he bought it on the 'Fiorelli' website and it was delivered pretty quick, about 3 days. It is a limited edition bag & for every 'Hope' bag bought Fiorelli donate £1 to Cancer Research which is absolutely brilliant! I have lost family members to cancer and it feels nice to know something has been donated to such a good cause :).

The 'Hope' comes in many different colours, black, nude, hot pink, snake skin and others.
The only downside is that they do not make the purse to match the bag which I was really disappointed with as I thought it would be nice to have everything matching.

overall I am very very happy with my new bag. It seems to go with everything I wear and is the perfect size for almost every day :)

Thanks for reading
